Is it suitable for my Golf 7 even if it is not a GTI or R?

Yes. It is compatible with all versions of the Golf 7 and Golf 7.5 manufactured between 2012 and 2020, from a stock TDI or TSI to a GTI, GTD, GTE, R or R-Line.

Is it suitable for the Golf 7.5 (facelift)?

Yes. It fits both the pre-facelift Golf 7 (2012 to 2016) and the Golf 7.5 facelift (2017 to 2020).

Is it an original Volkswagen steering wheel?

No. It is an aftermarket carbon fiber and leather steering wheel designed for the Golf 7 and Golf 7.5. It is fitted with the airbag and multifunction buttons from your original steering wheel.

Does it include the airbag?

No. The original airbag from your Golf is reused, as are the multifunction buttons.

What information does the LED display show?

Speed, revs, water and oil temperature, engine load, consumption, remaining fuel, turbo pressure and battery voltage. The LED shift lights light up according to the revs.

Does it have shift paddles for the DSG?

No. This steering wheel does not include shift paddles. If your Golf is a DSG, you can continue to change gears with the shifter.

Do the multifunction buttons work?

Yes, as long as your car already has them. They are transferred from the original steering wheel to the new one and work just like before.

Is it real carbon fiber?

Yes. The top and bottom sections are real carbon fiber with visible weave and glossy finish, not vinyl imitation.

Does it pass the ITV?

Changing the steering wheel may be considered a modification under current regulations. Before installing it, we recommend consulting your ITV station or workshop to find out what documentation you need.
