Are they original BMW M3 mirrors?

No. They are aftermarket ABS caps with a carbon-effect finish, designed for the LCI mirrors of the E8x and E9x range. The M3 designation describes their style.

Are they glued on top of the original caps?

No. They replace the standard cap: the original is removed and the new one fits into the same mountings, without adhesives.

Do I need to change the mirror or the glass?

No. The original body, glass, motor, and wiring are reused. Only the outer cover changes.

Do electric folding and heating still work?

Yes. The cap does not interfere with folding, electric adjustment, or mirror heating.

Are they suitable for my 2007 pre-LCI E90?

No. Before the facelift, the mirror has a different shape. For your car, you need the pre-LCI version, which we also have in the store.
