It does not replace it: it extends it backwards with a sharp lip and adds side wings that follow the edge of the rear window. It is mounted on top of the original spoiler, without removing anything and without drilling.

Necessary material

• Isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth
• Painter's tape to mark the position
• Optional: adhesion promoter and a heat gun or hair dryer

Detailed steps

1. Present the spoiler without removing the tape protector and check that it fits well along the entire curve
2. Mark the position with painter's tape at both ends
3. Clean the contact area well with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry
4. Apply adhesion promoter if you have it, to improve grip
5. Warm the tape with a hair dryer if it is cold (below 15 °C)
6. Remove the protector and place the spoiler starting from the center and following outwards to the sides
7. Press firmly over the entire surface for 1-2 minutes
8. Do not wash the car for 48-72 hours so that the tape can reach its maximum adhesion

Is it an original Cupra spoiler?

No. It is an aftermarket spoiler made for the Cupra Formentor Mk1.

Does it replace the stock spoiler?

No. It is placed on top of the original spoiler and extends it. Nothing needs to be removed.

Does it need to be drilled?

No. It is fixed with double-sided 3M adhesive tape.

Does it fall off when washing the car or on the highway?

No, if it is mounted on a clean surface and the 48-72 hours without washing are respected. The 3M tape is designed for outdoor automotive use.

Does it affect the third brake light or the camera?

No. The third brake light remains visible and the spoiler does not touch the rear camera or the windshield wiper.

Is it suitable for my Formentor e-Hybrid?

Yes. The tailgate and the stock spoiler are the same on all versions of the Formentor Mk1 from 2020 to 2024.

Does it pass the ITV?

It is an aesthetic part that does not protrude from the car's outline or have sharp edges. We recommend keeping the invoice in case they ask for it.
