The AMG GT-style front grille for Mercedes CLA is one of the most sought-after accessories for Mercedes-Benz's four-door coupé. Its vertical bars transform the front of the car and give it a much sportier look. It is an aftermarket accessory made of ABS; DRX Parts is not affiliated with Mercedes-Benz or AMG, and these terms are used solely to describe the style and compatibility.

What makes this grille special

• Suitable for CLA and CLA 35: fits second-generation CLAs (2019-2025), with standard or AMG-Line bumpers

Why ABS and not cheap plastic?

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is the most widely used thermoplastic in automotive exterior trim due to its properties:

• Withstands sudden temperature changes without deforming, from winters at -20 °C to extreme summers
• Resists light impacts without cracking
• Maintains its color with prolonged exposure to UV rays
• Withstands common cleaning products without damaging the finish
• Withstands pressure washing at normal distance

About the gloss black finish

Gloss black contrasts with any body color and with the central star, and it is the finish that best matches the AMG-Line and Night Package style. The grille arrives ready to install, you do not need to paint it, prime it, or apply additional varnish.

The installation is simple and comes with all the hardware and brackets necessary. In most CLAs, it can be replaced without removing the bumper, although doing so makes access to the clips much easier.

Tools needed

• Torx screwdriver and wrench set (depending on the fixings)
• Plastic tool for releasing clips without marking the bumper
• Optional: remove the front bumper for greater convenience

Detailed steps

1. Access the original grille. For a more convenient installation, many workshops remove the front bumper, although it is not always essential
2. Release the clips and screws that hold the factory grille and remove it carefully
3. Transfer the front camera and sensor (if your car has them) to the new grille using the included brackets, respecting their original position
4. Place the included brackets and adapters on the new grille according to your configuration
5. Fit the new grille into the bumper, aligning all the anchor points
6. Secure with the included hardware and check that it is firm and well aligned
7. Reinstall the bumper (if you removed it) and check the result from several angles

⏱ Estimated total time: 30-60 minutes depending on whether you remove the bumper or not

If you do not feel confident transferring the camera, we recommend a workshop. For any questions, write to us at info@drxparts.com and we will help you the same day.
