About the gloss black finish

Installation is simple and requires no tools: only cleaning, patience and a good temperature. The trunk does not need to be drilled.

You need

• Microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol
• Painter's tape to mark the position
• Optional: dryer or heat gun (helps activate the adhesive on cold days)

Detailed steps

1. Thoroughly clean the edge of the trunk with isopropyl alcohol to remove wax, grease and dirt. This is the most important step for the adhesive to bond
2. Dry fit the spoiler on the trunk, centered with respect to the rings, and check that it rests along its entire length
3. Mark the position with painter's tape at both ends and in the center
4. Apply the adhesive tape along the base of the spoiler (or remove the protective film if it comes on) without touching the adhesive with your fingers
5. Place the spoiler following the marks, starting from the center and pressing towards the ends
6. Press firmly for 30-60 seconds along the entire length to activate the adhesive
7. Let cure for 24-48 hours without washing the car or exposing it to heavy rain. If possible, keep it covered

Is it an original Audi part?

No. It is an aftermarket accessory made of ABS and designed for the A3 Sedan 8V trunk.

Is it suitable for the A3 Sportback?

No. The Sportback and 3-door models have a rear hatchback instead of a trunk, and the spoiler has a different shape. This is only for the Sedan body style (4 doors).

Is it suitable for the S3 and RS3?

Yes. A3, S3 and RS3 Sedan 8V share the same trunk. If your RS3 already has a factory spoiler, contact us beforehand.

Do I need to paint it?

No. It arrives in gloss black ready to install. It does not require primer, paint or additional varnish.

Does the trunk need to be drilled?

No. It attaches with high-strength double-sided adhesive tape, included. It is reversible: it is removed with heat and nylon thread without leaving a mark.

Can it withstand the wash tunnel?

Yes, once the adhesive has cured (24-48 h). Avoid pointing the lance within 30 cm of the edge of the spoiler.

How long does it take to arrive?
