Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before and after buying: compatibility, materials, assembly, shipping, returns, and warranty. If your question isn't here, write to us.

Products and materials

Are they original Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Hyundai parts?

No. All our products are aftermarket accessories, manufactured by third parties and designed to fit the original mounting points of each model. Designations such as TCR, AMG, M Performance, or N are used solely to describe the style or compatibility of the part. DRX Parts is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer.

What material are the exterior parts made of?

High-strength ABS, the most widely used thermoplastic in automotive exterior trim. It withstands light impacts, vibrations, pressure washing, and temperature changes from -20 °C to +80 °C without cracking or deforming. Unlike fiberglass, it does not break in the cold or lose its shine in the sun.

Do they come painted or do I have to paint them?

They arrive painted in gloss black, with primer, a color coat, and UV-filter varnish applied at the factory. They do not need additional primer, paint, or varnish: they are installed as they arrive.

What does the package include?

The part and everything needed to install it: brackets, clips, or structural adhesive depending on the product. Each product page details the exact contents. You do not need to buy anything else.

How are they cleaned and maintained?

Like any painted car part: with water, neutral soap, and a microfiber cloth. They can withstand pressure washing at a normal distance; avoid bringing the nozzle closer than 30 cm. You can wax them or apply a sealant just like you would to the bodywork.

Compatibility

How do I know if a part fits my car?

Each product page indicates the models, years, and versions it is compatible with and those it is not. Check the registration year and whether your car is pre-facelift or facelift: on many models, the bumper changes with the restyling, and each generation has its own part. For example, the Golf 7 (2012-2016) and 7.5 (2017-2020) have different diffusers.

Can you confirm compatibility before I buy?

Yes. Write to us at info@drxparts.com with the model, year, and a photo of the area where the part goes (bumper, grille, skirt), and we will confirm it, normally on the same business day.

Are the parts compatible with the stock exhaust, sensors, or camera?

The diffusers are designed for the stock exhaust configuration of the versions indicated on the product page. The grilles indicate on their product page whether they are compatible with a front camera, parking sensors, or radar depending on the vehicle version. If your car has an aftermarket exhaust or optional equipment, consult us beforehand.

Does a 3-door part fit a 5-door?

On the models we sell, diffusers, lips, and grilles are the same for 3 and 5 doors. Side skirts may vary in length; the product page indicates this when applicable.

Installation

Do I need a workshop to install the parts?

No. All are installed on the car's original mounting points with basic tools (normally a Torx wrench) in 15-40 minutes depending on the part. There is no need to drill, cut, or remove the bumper. Each product page includes the installation steps.

Do I need to drill or modify the car?

No. The stock mounting points are used, and for some parts, additional structural adhesive is included. The installation is reversible: you can put the original part back on whenever you want.

What tools do I need?

A Torx wrench (T20 or T25 depending on the model), a microfiber cloth, and optionally, a ramp or jack to work more comfortably under the bumper. Custom steering wheels require removing the airbag; for those, we recommend a workshop.

Does it affect the ITV inspection?

Our parts are aesthetic accessories that do not modify approved dimensions, the exhaust system, or safety elements. Even so, the final decision is the inspector's, so we recommend keeping the original part.

Shipping

Where do you ship from and when does my order leave?

From our warehouse in Massarrojos (Valencia). Orders confirmed before 18:00 from Monday to Friday leave the same day; otherwise, the next business day. You receive the tracking number by email as soon as the package leaves.

How long does it take and how much does shipping cost?

In Spain and Portugal: standard shipping in 3-5 business days (€14.99) or express in 1-2 business days (€19.99). Side skirts and large-volume parts have their own rate (€23.99 and €29.99). In the European Union: standard €19.99 or express €24.99. The exact rate is shown in the cart before paying. Check the shipping policy.

Do you ship to the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla?

Yes, with the same rates. In the Balearic Islands, the timeframe may be extended by 1-2 days. In the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, shipping is in standard mode, with a timeframe of 4-7 business days, and the recipient may have to pay local taxes (IGIC, IPSI, and customs clearance).

Do you ship outside the European Union?

No, for now only to Spain, Portugal, and the rest of the European Union.

What do I do if the package arrives damaged?

Indicate it to the carrier at the time of delivery and write to us within 48 hours at info@drxparts.com with photographs of the packaging and the product. We manage the claim with the carrier and send you a new part at no cost.

Returns and warranty

Can I return a product if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 calendar days from receipt to return it without giving explanations, as long as it has not been installed and retains its original packaging. Write to us before sending it and we will tell you how to do it. Check the returns policy.

Who pays for the return shipping?

If you return it due to a change of mind or because you chose the wrong model, the return shipping costs are borne by the customer. If the product arrives defective, damaged, or is not the one you ordered, all costs are borne by DRX Parts.

When do I receive the refund?

Once the part has been received and inspected, within a maximum of 14 calendar days from when you notify us of the return, by the same payment method you used.

Can custom steering wheels be returned?

No. Since they are manufactured according to your specifications (materials, stitching, details), they are excluded from the right of withdrawal according to article 103 c) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. This is indicated on the product page before buying. They do have a legal warranty.

What warranty do the products have?

3 years of legal conformity warranty from delivery, according to Spanish legislation. It covers manufacturing, paint, and fitment defects. It does not cover damage from accidents, improper use, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear. To make use of it, write to us with the order number, a description of the problem, and photographs.
